As the driving force behind the Mudcat Song Challenge! series and the Songbook itself, the red-headed Texan Gaelic schoolma’arm Àine (pronounced Ahn-ya)was well-beloved by those who answered her Challenges and received her virtual rewards in exchange.

 

This ditty was composed to salute her during a discussion about, among other things, a strange beer-like concoction called Irn Bru, popular in ... in... well, somewhere.  The reference to cow-chips are the lovely but virtual adorned cow-chips with which she awards bardic efforts in the Song Challenge! threads.
